Boostrix 'Coughin Hell'

Whooping cough (Pertussis) is no big deal is it? Something you get maybe once in a while. But if you’re middle-aged or have asthma, whooping cough is hell on earth. You cough so much. You can’t talk. You can’t breathe. You can’t sleep. You throw up. It’s torture.

And it’s so contagious that you have to isolate from your family and go through days and sometimes weeks of coughing hell on your own.

Yet doctors don’t think whooping cough is serious enough to vaccinate people against. So we interviewed people from all over the world who had been through the torment of whooping cough and their stories were incredible. So visceral. So real.

We just had to find a way to bring them to life in a way that would change doctor’s behaviour. So we created ‘Coughin’ Hell’ a film using Nexus Productions and Mighty Nice’s Bonnie Forsyth.

A film noir epic that was a punch in the throat to doctors to start vaccinating their vulnerable patients against whooping cough.
